Meet John R. Monterubio, DDS
Dr. Monterubio is native to St. Louis. He graduated from Ladue High School in 1972. He then attended Creighton University and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976. He then entered Creighton University School of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Science degree in 1980 and graduated in the top 10% of his class.
In 1980 and 1981 he completed a residency in hospital dentistry at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas. He then entered the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. At the completion of this postgraduate program in June 1985, he returned to St. Louis to begin his practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Monterubio is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Continuing Education
Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is an ever changing and improving environment. Dr. Monterubio and his staff are committed to keeping abreast of these changes and advancements. He attends continuing education courses throughout the year to keep abreast of the changes and integrates the latest technological advances in his surgery practice.
Haiti Orphan Project
Dr. Monterubio was lucky enough to be able to visit Haiti and provide medical care at several different orphanages with a group of fellow colleagues. It was an amazing experience to bring surgical care to those in need and to improve healthcare around the world. He is already looking forward to going back in the future!
